Union County Educational Services Commission is a public school district in Westfield, NJ that was established to provide cost-effective educational programs and services for the twenty-one school districts located in Union County. The Commission is currently seeking a part-time School Social Worker at Work Readiness Academy.WRA works with students ages 18 to 21 who have completed all of their high school graduation requirements. Students attending our program have a variety of disabilities which may include, but are not limited to, autism spectrum disorders, communication impairments, cognitive impairments, and physical or medical impairments. Students sometimes have multiple disabilities.
Description: * Available on September 2, 2024 * Part-Time, 3 Days per week * Hours: 8:20 a.m. - 2:40 p.m. * Competitive Salary Requirements: * Master’s Degree in Social Work or Related Field from Accredited University * New Jersey Department of Education School Social Worker Certificate * Effective Interpersonal, Communication, Clinical skills * Prior experience working with adolescents with Developmental Disabilities and/or experience providing clinical services in an educational setting preferred
