Required Certification: NJ Certified Educational Facilities Manager
Minimum of (5) five years’ managerial level experience in school plant maintenance and custodial services:
Provide the day to day supervision and training of all plant operations employees.
Must have ability to provide effective leadership of all facilities improvement and maintenance programs.
Ability to interface with professionals, and contractors of all building projects, plan long-term building needs, monitor compliance with applicable regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor departmental budget.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction, maintenance, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Demonstrated knowledge and or necessary certifications; AHERA, IAQ, and IPM.
Strong communication, interpersonal; writing and computer skills.
Experience in administering labor contact as it pertains to custodial/maintenance workers, grievance and disciplinary actions.
Excellent driving record and a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Demonstrated understanding of public contracting laws, procurement procedures, and state statute and code.
College Degree in appropriate field preferred.
