Benway School is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic High School Science Teacher.  Benway School is an Approved Private School for Students with Disabilities.  Our program serves students with emotional and behavioral needs that benefit greatly from a nurturing learning envronment.  We value student engagement, staff/student connections, and social/emotional growth.

Requirements

• Valid NJ Instructional Science Certificate-MS Science Specialization, or one of the following: Teacher of Biological Science, Physical Science, Earth Science
• TOSD or TOH strongly recommended
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Experience in design challenges, integrative design, and STEM, desired.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
