Position: Math Advancement Program: Pre-Calculus Teacher

Dept./School: Curriculum/Morristown High School

Employment Term: June 24, 2024 - August 2, 2024 (No Class 7/4 and 7/5)

Monday - Friday (7:45 am - 12:15 pm) 

Location: Morristown High School

 

Qualifications:

  • Current Certified Teacher of Mathematics

  • Qualifications to teach Pre-Calculus

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee grade 11 students (rising 12th graders)

  • Implement lesson plans and design assessments

  • Coordinate grades with guidance

  • Record daily attendance and grading

  • Facilitate Summer Advancement course to be offered in Pre-Calculus Honors

  • Course will provide MHS 11th grade students who are currently enrolled in Algebra 2, the opportunity to advance through the Math sequence to be eligible for Calculus in their 12th grade school year 

  • Deliver 120 Precalculus Credit Hours Successfully Completed in the summer, course credit added to student transcript   

 

Salary:

  • As per contract language for hourly pay rate and planning time
