Description

The Capstone Center (www.thecapstonecenter.com) is currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor/Special Education Teacher to provide services in the Caldwell, NJ area. Services will be delivered in our center in Caldwell, NJ. We are looking for energetic individuals who are available on a full or part time basis.

Specific duties include:

  • Assist other Clinical Supervisors, Assistant Clinical Director, and Clinical Director with intakes by setting up location and necessary materials for intakes.
  • Provide oversight of behavior intervention services for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder within the center, school, and home-based settings.
  • Be familiar with learner programming and be able to implement programs/protocols with integrity.
  • Collect, graph, and analyze data, and make programming decisions in conjunction with the Directors and Clinical Director.
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments and write behavior intervention plans.
  • Assist in learner evaluation and assessment, and the development and maintenance of written behavior treatment plans, individualized learner protocols, skill acquisition programs, goals, objectives, curricula, PLAAFPs, progress reports, data sheets, set sheets, and learner binders.
  • Assist other Clinical Supervisors, the Assistant Clinical Director, and Clinical Director in development of IEP goals and objectives for a number of school-based learners and attend IEP meetings, as necessary.
  • Travel to learners’ homes or schedule online meetings on a weekly basis to train parents on skill acquisition and/or behavior reduction programs within the home and community.
  • Conduct and supervise caregiver training and other necessary meetings including caregiver/IEP meetings and team meetings. This includes collaborating with other service providers as necessary. 
  • Assist in interviewing Curriculum Coordinators, Behavioral Skills Technicians, and Special Education Teachers.
  • Provide training and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians in collaboration with other Clinical Supervisors, the Assistant Clinical Director, and the Clinical Director. 
  • Assist in training Behavioral Skills Technicians in collaboration with other Clinical Supervisors, the Assistant Clinical Director, and the Clinical Director. 
  • Assist in ongoing training and supervision of Behavioral Skills Technicians in collaboration with other Clinical Supervisors, the Assistant Clinical Director, and the Clinical Director. Including creating training materials.
  • Oversee Curriculum Coordinators responsibilities in collaboration with other Clinical Supervisors, the Assistant Clinical Director, and the Clinical Director. 
  • Ensure staff compliance with all established TCC policies and procedures
  • Attend conferences and engage in other professional development activities (specific to the assessment and treatment of individuals with ASD, OBM, etc.), including reading peer-reviewed journal articles.

 

Job Requirements

  • Board certification and in good standing as a BCBA.
  • Experience in clinic, home, and school-based settings.
  • Minimum of 10 years of ABA experience including the development and implementation of behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition programs for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong written communication, organizational, and time-management skills. 
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to effectively train staff and/or family members directly.
  • Flexibility in schedule to travel and provide parent training within the home and community setting during evening hours. 
  • Certification as a New Jersey Special Education Teacher required.
  • You should be able to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check
  • Must provide proof of negative TB test within the past year.
