Pope John XXIII Regional High School is a Catholic High School located in Sparta, New Jersey, and part of the Catholic Academy of Sussex County. Pope John High School consists of students in grades 8 through 12 and offers rigorous academics, faith-based learning, numerous clubs, activities, and athletics.

We are anticipating the need for teachers in the following areas, for the next school year, beginning in September 2024.  


World Language - Pope John currently offers several foreign languages.  For September 2024 we may have the following foreign language teaching positions available either full or part time:





We currently offer several levels of these languages and would like to hire someone with foreign language teaching experience who could teach various levels (beginning to advanced) of these languages.

Computer Science  - Experience in teaching AP Comp Sci Principles and AP Comp Sci a plus.  We also offer Intro to Programming and Honors Intro to Programming and would like to continue to offer these courses to our students.  We need a full or part-time teacher and would happily hire a retired teacher if they had the experience in this field needed to accommodate our students.

Choral Music/Liturgical Music Teacher - In search of an experienced choral music teacher to teach Mixed Chorus, and Honor Choir classes.  Also, someone that is familiar with Liturgical Music for Catholic Masses.


English Teacher - 8th/9th Grade  - Pope John is currently looking for an English teacher to teach our 8th-grade students and possibly English I, 9th grade.  Experience preferred but not necessary.  Our 8th grade English classes are a combination of Writing Skills and Literature on the college prep and Honors level.
