Travel Camp Unit Supervisor (7-9 Grade)

JCC Camp Ruach is committed to creating a positive, meaningful, inclusive adn FUN summer for campers and staff. Staff learn invaluable skills that are immediately transferable to all other aspects of their personal and professional life.

Camp Dates: June 24 - August 16, 2024 (Closed July 4)

Camp Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm 

Responsibilities of Travel Camp Unit Supervisor:

• Oversee unite of 50 campers and staff
• Facilitate staff training and provide daily supervision to team of staff
• Support campers' development and overall camp experience
• Manage all aspects of camp day including travel logistics for day trips, one-night and week-long overnights
• Create safe, loving, inclusive camp enviroment
• Manage pieces of guardian communication
• Positively collaborate and work alongside other camp staff and senior staff team
• Serve as a role model to campers and staff

Qualifications of Travel Camp Unit Supervisor:

• Teaching experience preferred
• Prior camp experience preferred
• Supervision and classroom management experience preferred
• Experience in professional or personal capacity with pre-tee and teens 
• Hard working and team player
• Enjoys having fun, being active, and being outdoors

• Compensation of $5,700.00 inclusive of all summer responsibilities for a full-time Travel Camp Unit Supervisor (including day and overnight trips)
