We are currently recruiting for a Special Education Teacher to work with students with developmental and related disabilities aged 3-21 years at our Lakeview School.

Job Responsibilities of a Special Education Teacher include:

  • Develop appropriate educational goals and objectives, teaching strategies, and methods of assisting these goals for each student in the class.
  • Plan and implement individual, small and large group instructional activities and promote appropriate socialization and self help skills.
  • Supervise and direct the activities of the teaching assistants and aides in the clasroom.

Job Requirements:

  • BA or BS degree
  • NJ DOE certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped
  • NJ DOE certification as Elementary School Teacher K-5

Hours per week: 35                                        weekly Work Schedule:  Mon - Fri 8:30am -4pm
