Description The Dover Public Schools, a PK-12 grade school district serving 3,600 students in Morris County, NJ, is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual for the full-time position of Anticipated Supervisor of Guidance.  This is a 12-month position with an available start date of July 1, 2024.
 
Essential Functions
The Supervisor of Guidance is responsible for:
1. The direct supervision of guidance counselors, student assistance counselors, guidance office staff, and the school-based youth services program. 
2. Oversight of school-based youth services and Rutgers Mental Health Program.
3. Responsible for the administration of the district’s guidance programs K-12, serves as the district and high school test coordinator for all administered standardized assessments, and will work closely with school principals to effect department policies and procedures.  
4. Has primary responsibility of managing and creating high school master schedule.

Qualifications
NJDOE Supervisor Certification or Director of School Counseling Services
Prior experience as a school counselor
Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish and experience working with a diverse student population
Demonstrated Knowledge and experience with master scheduling
Demonstrated proficiency of Genesis software, preferred
