Qualifications
- A valid NJDOE School Nurse certificate
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Current CPR and AED certification preferred
- Candidates must demonstrate effective teaching and communication skills
- Candidates should be able to demonstrate their desire to be a part of a school community
Responsibilities
- The School Nurse will serve as the primary advocate for the health and well being of students and staff within the school while maintaining confidentiality.
- Responsibilities include health screening and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and/or injured while in the school, maintenance of health records, and instruction in sound health practices.
- Reports to the Director of Student Services and Building Principal

The following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job: sitting, standing, reaching, walking, lifting, bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, carrying, repetitive motions, speaking, listening, and visual acuity. The employee must lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds.
