PERKINS GRANT COMPLIANCE COORDINATOR

The Essex County Schools of Technology is seeking a part time Perkins Grant Compliance Coordinator for the 2023-24 school year.
 

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with all aspects of the Carl D. Perkins Grants (Secondary and Post-Secondary);
  • Knowledge of Electronically Web Enable Grant (EWEG) platform;
  • In depth knowledge of Systems3000 budget/requisition software;
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills;
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task; 
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills

Performance Responsibilites:
  • Assist with annual Fiscal Reports, Grant Amendments, Final Reports for the Carl D. Perkins Grant (Secondary and Post- Secondary);
  • Ensure accurate submissions for District reimbursement requests per grant guidelines;
  • Reconciliation of grant expenditures;
  • Ensure accurate equipment inventory as per Perkins Uniform Grant Guidance (UGG);
  • Ensure budget requests align with the needs stated in Perkins V Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment.
  • Develop and implement evaluations of the activities carried out with funds including evaluations necessary to complete the CLNA and the annual budget application

Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.

Terms of Employment
 This is a part time position during 12 months of the year. This position is governed by the collective bargaining agreement by and between the Board of Education and the Essex County Vocational Education Association.
Compensation
(2022-2023 contractual rate) Contract for 2023-2024 is currently under negotiation.

The Essex County Vocational and Technical High Schools are public schools supported by County, State and Federal Funds. There are five such programs operated by the Board of Education for the Vocational Schools in the County of Essex. These include four high schools and one adult center.  In addition to salary, the Board of Education offers fringe benefits to all employees.
