Job Posting for:                     FT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

Expected Date/s of Assignment:      July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 (Tenure Track) Qualifications/Requirements:

  • NJ School Occupational Therapist Certification
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong communication, organization, and record-keeping skills
  • Chapter #116 Security Clearance

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements and coordinates the occupational therapy program within the school, including philosophy, vision, procedures and goals
  • Participates in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEP’s)
  • Provides targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facility student participation and occupational performance with the school environment
  • Documents occupational therapy services and maintains records in accordance with school policies as well as NJ and federal laws and regulations
  • Schedules students’ sessions according to class times in cooperation with the school staff
  • Participates in staff in-service education programs and staff meetings
  • Adheres to school’s policies and procedures, including timely submission of schedules, logs,
  • Continues to acquire professional knowledge and learn of current developments in the therapeutic field by attending seminars, workshops or professional meetings, as may be necessary
  • Maintains professional relationships with students’ families and fellow staff members

 

Compensation:

  • Following the established GMREA Salary Guide, starting from $62,656, commensurate with experience and
