Supervisor of Related Services
The Deron School of NJ, Inc. (Montclair Campus) seeks an experienced Full time Supervisor of Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Statement of Job
The Supervisor shall be responsible for all the functions for related services in the school as well as the coordination of programs to ensure the provision of optimum special education services. The Supervisor must ensure a safe and healthy school/therapeutic environment that is conducive to optimal performance for students and staff. At the present time this may also involve oversight of an established cross-campus collaboration with other administrators, and maintaining regular contact with staff, families, and sending districts.
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Administrator Certificate with Supervisor Endorsement (New Jersey Principal Certification is a PLUS!)
- Minimum of 3 years of successful experience on a Child Study Team.
- Knowledge and experience in Goal Writing, Assessments, and ensuring a meaning and successful IEP Meeting.
- Evidence of vigorous leadership qualities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to connect with and successfully involving a diverse school community
- Valuing and integrating related services to meet the needs of the learner and achieve the school mission.
- Promoting collaboration with faculty, staff, parents, and community to achieve goals
- Establishing a positive school culture that engages students and staff to grow and excel.
