Description

The Position:

  • The high school principal shall lead the school community for equity and excellence; ensuring that all students graduate fully prepared for college and career
  • The high school principal shall engage the school community through a consistent presence at school and district events during the day, in the evening and on weekends as necessary
  • The high school principal shall supervise and evaluate certified and non-certified personnel assigned to the school to ensure equality and excellence for all students
  • The high school principal shall lead the school level planning for improvement in instructional practices, student growth and assessment as well as staff growth and development
  • The high school principal shall foster and maintain an effective, efficient and successful school environment for students, staff and the school community
  • The high school principal shall be an active and engaged member of the overall district leadership team

Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will hold a valid New Jersey principal’s certification
  • The successful candidate will be required to have a minimum of 5 years experience in public school administration, high school administration preferred
  • The successful candidate will be required to have a minimum of 5 years of successful teaching experience, high school teaching experience preferred
  • The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership in the areas of curriculum and instruction, program development and evaluation, staff development and growth and reflective and responsive practice
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery in understanding of current research and best practices in secondary education methodologies
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership through the integration of technology into the high school program

Salary: 135,783 (starting) to 166,936 (maximum) per year

Effective Date: 2021 - 2022 school year
