2024-2025 School Year: Middle School Special Education Teacher

Position: Teacher Special Education (In-Class Resource & Consult Model) - Middle School - 2024-2025 School Year

Position Summary:  We are seeking a special education instructor for a special education teaching position at George Washington Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year. The candidate may fulfill roles in various settings including resource, in-class resource, LLD, and/or facilitate a consultative model.

Qualifications: 

• NJ Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
• NJ K-12 Content Certification or 5-8 Content Certification preferred
• Must demonstrate knowledge of Special Education Inclusion 
• Must demonstrate independent initiative for professional growth
• Must be able to effectively communicate with teachers, parents, and administrators both verbally and in writing
• Must be able to work collaboratively and have experience maintaining harmonious relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Start Date: August 28, 2024 plus 3 days NTO

Working Conditions: Full-time, tenure track position, salary and benefits as per negotiated contract
