MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER
Hatikvah International Charter School is a public, secular K-8 program with an enrollment of close to 665 students whose studies include partial immersion in Modern Hebrew language. We are an approved grade 6-8, International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme.
Requirements:
The school is seeking a middle school science teacher for 24-25. Candidates need to have excellent oral and written communication skills; a sound knowledge of how to use data to drive instruction; strong skills in differentiation; and inquiry based approaches to learning. The candidate must have experience in collaborative planning and working successfully with a team of teachers. The job requires a "Can-do" attitude. Candidates with MYP experience will be given preference, but all candidates need to be willing to engage in professional development with the International Baccalaureate Program.
Certification: K-6 certification is acceptable with 5-8 Science endorsement, however, candidates with K-12 Science certifcation will receive a preference and this is in any area of science. Candidates who expect to earn a certificate of eligilibty by the summer may apply.

Duties:
Classroom teacher responsible for designing rigorous, common core aligned MYP-IB instruction; parent communication; collaborative planning; formative and summative assessment aligned to standards; ability to differentiate instruction for learners; strong behavior management skills; strong organizational skills.
