PreK- Grade 6 School Counselor Position at Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child, a Catholic independent school in Summit, New Jersey. Oak Knoll seeks an energetic and dedicated full time School Counselor for the 2023-2024 academic year. The School Counselor will work collaboratively with school leadership, students, parents, teachers, and school support staff to help our students achieve the highest degree of academic, emotional, and behavioral success. This position includes serving as a leader in the school, teaching guidance classes; building strong relationships with students and their families, providing counseling interventions and support for students, and being a resource and support to classroom teachers. In addition to teaching guidance classes and offering student support, the School Counselor also facilitates monthly Lower School guidance themes, student assembly presentations, and parent presentations. Demonstrated expertise in both individual student guidance, guidance curriculum and instruction, crisis intervention, and prior classroom teaching experience preferred. Qualified applicants will have Master's Degree in School Counseling and a NJDOE School Counseling Certificate. This position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
