ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Non-Unit Position |District Central Office

Preferred skills include:

  • Effective communication (phone, email, in-person)
  • Physical and digital file maintenance
  • General understanding of various systems (Employee Portal, Frontline, NJedCert, etc.) - ERP, Payroll functions, State Reporting, etc.
  • Experience navigating an ERP system (Including basic payroll knowledge)
  • Knowledge and ability to monitor and maintain certification status
  • Comfortable utilizing the full suite of Google and Microsoft applications
  • Experience creating and editing Board Agenda items, policies, regulations, etc.
  • An understanding of district policies and procedures

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Keep records
  2. Answer phone and direct calls to appropriate personnel
  3. Filing
  4. Order teacher supplies/maintain teacher supply closet/secure needed supplies from supply closet when requested by teachers
  5. Maintain routine maintenance of copy machines, poster printer, and postage meter
  6. Update and maintain teacher mailboxes in the General Office
  7. Assist in the photocopying of materials
  8. Utilize Google Apps for Education in day to day operations
  9. Assist the other offices with tasks as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee
  10. Other assignments as designated by Principal or his/her designee

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Twelve month position. Grade A Salary, vacation and fringe benefits as established by the Board.

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation.
