Position Available:      Anticipated - English Teacher
                                                     
School / Program:      The Educational Services Commission of New Jersey: Turning Point Academy
                                                                                                                                            
Start Date:                   September 1, 2024 - Pending Criminal History Clearance
 
Duties:                           
Under the direction of the School Principal , an English Teacher is invited to join the Turning Point Academy Team that is Housed inside the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center. 
  • Plan, execute & evaluate the lessons and educational experiences of the assigned pupils, class, or classes.
  • Enjoy small class sizes and ongoing professional development, all while serving students. 
  • Exercising independent judgement and with a comprehensive knowledge of Middlesex County JDC department rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Does other related duties as required. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Certification:       New Jersey's Cerification in English ( Standard, Certificate of Eligibility with Adanced standing, or Certification of Eligibilty) issued by the Board of Examiners of the New Jersey Department of Education, Autorized in High School English.
