SPECIAL EDUCATION ICR TEACHER - MS/HS
Leave Replacement Position

Anticipated Dates: Sept 1, 2024 – Jan. 17, 2025
 
QUALIFICATIONS:      
  1. Valid NJDOE Instructional Certificate and valid NJDOE Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSWD) Certificate, OR valid NJDOE Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Certificate.
  2. Valid NJDOE MS Science Specialization Certificate a plus.
  3. Knowledge of teaching strategies and reinforcement procedures, techniques used to appropriately support academic needs.
  4. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  5. Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
  6. Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status.
  7. Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).
 
REPORTS TO: Principal/Designated Administrator
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Kenilworth Board of Education’s long-term substitute rate of $345 per day. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:16-1:1, time accrued as a leave replacement teacher does not count towards tenure.
