TITLE:   H-012 -  Supervisor of Educational Technology Integration 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

 
  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, New Jersey Teacher Certification, Google Apps for Education Qualified Individual certificate, or equivalent experience. 

  2. Principal Certification

 

REPORTS TO:

 

Director of Technology 

JOB GOAL: 

The Supervisor of Educational Technology Integration assists with the supervision, oversight, and evaluation of building Media Specialists, Technology Teachers, and STEM Teachers and provides ongoing professional development for targeted improvement in identified growth areas. Additionally, the role would involve assisting the Director of Technology, Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent with special projects and taking the lead in developing, implementing, and coordinating the District's technology plan.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  1. Serves as a lead in the area of Educational Technology and Professional Development.

  2. Supervise, evaluate, and coordinate the daily management of K-12 Media Specialists, Technology Teachers, and STEM Teachers and provides ongoing professional development for targeted improvement in identified growth areas.

  3. Assists the Director of Technology, Assistant Superintendent, and Superintendent with various special projects.

  4. Responsible for management, implementation, training and support of all data warehousing software.

  5. Prepares the District data reports and presentations.

  6. Enhance instruction through technology across the curriculum; and promotes efficiency in the school and district with the use of technology.

  7. Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of the District's technology plan.

  8. Shares constructive feedback to Principals, Assistant Principals, and Directors on improving student achievement and effective implementation of educational technology strategies and recommendations.

  9. Assists the Office of Human Resources with the orientation and mentor responsibilities of all novice Teachers and monitors the orientation and mentorship of novice Teachers. 

  10. Manages the development of a comprehensive strategy to guarantee an accurate inventory and timely distribution of all curricular resources and software subscriptions.

  11. Monitors and supports professional development for leaders, teachers, and all District staff aligned to the District Professional Development Plan, District Goals, and identified needs.

  12. Implementation lead of the District’s Learning Management System; responsible for onboarding teachers and staff. 

  13. Oversees and manages the district’s social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

  14. Create, edit, and publish the district’s weekly e-newsletter for the purpose of communication with the community, schools, and families.

  15. Performs responsibilities of the Teacher/Coordinator of Educational Technology Integration. 

  16. Performs other duties as assigned. 

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Twelve month position: salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.

 

ANNUAL EVALUATION:

 

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board’s policy on the evaluation of certificated staff.
