Vice-Principal

CAMDEN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY, THE SOMERDALE BOARD OF EDUCATION is seeking to employ a Vice-Principal, with a start date of July 1, 2023.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION INCLUDE:

• Possess NJ Principal Certification – Standard, CEAS, CE
• Minimum five years experience in educational setting

• Knowledge and understanding of:
  • New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS)
  • Effective instructional strategies
  • Classroom management strategies
  • Social emotional learning
  • Student discipline
  • Restorative practices
  • Special education laws and administrative code
  • Scheduling

• Ability to:
  • Relate to students, parents/guardians, staff, members of school community
  • Work collaboratively with school personnel/resources
  • Analyze and interpret data to lead school change
  • Develop and implement efficient systems and processes
  • Structure, plan, and deliver professional development
  • Conduct post observation conferences centered on educational dialogue (pedagogy, instructional improvement)
  • Maintain confidentiality as required and appropriate
  • Handle multiple priorities in highly transactional and fast paced environment
  • Attend night and weekend events
