ANTICIPATED: Reading Interventionist

Manville School District is looking for an energetic and passionate educator, who will work closely with teachers and administrators to design and implement targeted intervention strategies that foster reading growth and confidence among our middle school students. 

We are seeking a qualified candidate who:

• Demonstrates knowledge of best instructional practices and research based intervention practices delivered in a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) 

• Exhibits strong data analysis skills and ability to make data-driven instructional decisions. 

• Demonstrates strong content and pedagogical knowledge in reading, including the Science of Reading and Multisensory Reading Instruction.

• Ability to provide high-quality, rigorous instruction in small groups and take weekly data on student progress. 

• Be trained, or be willing to attend Orton Gillingham Training

• Ability to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Must hold one or more of the following valid NJ teaching certifications: 

  • Elementary School Teacher Grades K-8

  • Teacher of Supplemental Instruction in Reading and Mathematics in Grades K-8

  • Reading Specialist
