ACTING SUPERVISOR OF SCHOOL COUNSELING AND STUDENT WELLNESS
24-25 SCHOOL YEAR
DISTRICT

We are presently accepting applications for the following position. This position requires proper N.J. certification.
ACTING SUPERVISOR OF SCHOOL COUNSELING AND STUDENT WELLNESS

QUALIFICATIONS:

N.J. Certification: Administrative with Supervisor endorsement, Educational Services with School Counselor endorsement or other related endorsement
  • Hold a Master's or higher degree
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in the field of educational administration
  • Previous experience in School Counseling Services, preferred
  • Ability to analyze statistical date for purposes of data-driven decision making
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the components of a comprehensive developmental guidance program, counseling theory and practice, personality development, strategies for effective career, educational and college planning, child growth and development, learning assessment and remediation, research related to learning, and school and community resources available to assist students and parents
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to general and special education
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively administer student services, special education programs, and to work with diverse populations of students, parents, staff and community groups and agencies
  • Familiar with NJ Student Learning Standards
  • Strong instructional background
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with school counseling K-12, mental health and crisis management, school nursing
