Description

High Point School is currently looking for a Culinary Arts teacher for our High School students who is committed to enriching the minds of our students of different ages and academic levels. Our successful candidate will have experience working with students with disabilities, has a strong passion for teaching and learning  and must have a NJ Department of Education Certificate in Career and Technical Education.

CPC Behavioral High Point Adolescent School (HPAS) provides a comprehensive and caring approach to education, connecting with students and families to encourage achievement academically, emotionally, behaviorally, and socially. Students learn skills to build a foundation for a healthy lifestyle and work with their educational and therapeutic treatment team to plan for a successful transition back to their school district, to the work force or to continued education in a college or vocational setting.  

 As a special education teacher at High Point School, you will be responsible for providing specialized learning experiences and supervision of special education students in a supportive and positive classroom environment in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEP).

Requirements

Must have a background in Culinary Arts and a valid NJ CEAS, provisional or standard certification in Career and Technical Education, must have experience working with students ages 13-21.
