Requirements to Get Started in New Jersey
To get started with Swing in New Jersey, you must meet one of the following criteria:

Option 1: Degree Path- You have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree. Need a permit? We will help you navigate the process and offset costs via Permit Assist to earn your NJ Instructional Substitute Credential.

Option 2: Existing Credential Path- You already hold a valid NJ 60-credit or 30-credit Instructional Substitute Credential. (Candidates holding a Standard Certificate, CEAS, or CE are also highly encouraged to apply!)
All candidates must also:

Complete a state-required fingerprint-based criminal background check.

Provide a negative TB test from within the past 6 months.
