  • Develop a comprehensive social history and psychosocial assessment that includes the student problems, strengths

and preferences
? Attend conferences with parents, districts, case managers. Identify and interpret special needs, behavioral plans,
treatments, interventions, modifications, etc.
? Review Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and comply with rules and regulations
? Reinforce and empower students and encourage and reinforce individuality, identity, good behavior, sensitivity and
self confidence
? Mediate peer conflict
? Provide and maintain knowledge of community resources, referrals and crisis management
? Work closely and establish relationships with families, districts, residential programs, etc.
? Coordinate parent support groups
? Work closely with teachers and staff regarding student needs, behavioral modifications and interventions
? Develop both individual and group counseling sessions
? Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees, consultants, interns, volunteer and districts and
any other agency/organization.
? Attend agency, community, county, state meetings, and trainings as required and requested.
? Participate in committees/activities relating to advocacy for children and families affected by mental health issues, as
? Maintain a mutually supportive atmosphere among team members and throughout the agency.
? Maintain agency adherence to confidentiality and FERPA requirements
? Complete other projects or tasks as assigned by management.



Must have a LSW, LPC or LAC. LCSW is preferred
? Must have a School Social Worker Certification
? 1-2 years of experience working with youth is required. School experience is preferable
? Satisfactorily pass Criminal History, Fingerprints, TB Screening, physical, and Sexual Misconduct and
Child Abuse Disclosure
? Valid drivers’ license
