As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) within Bancroft’s Pediatric and Adolescent Residential Program, you’ll support children with autism and disabilities and empower them to realize their best life.

Position Summary:
Provides assistance and support to Teacher in the planning and implementation of classroom instruction to specifically meet the educational needs of the assigned student.  Provides encouragement and support to the student to contribute to the best possible educational experience.  We are looking for One to One Education Program Associates at our Bancroft School in Mt. Laurel, NJ.

How You Can Make a Real Impact:    

  • Under the direction of Teacher(s) and following regulations defined by the N.J. Department of Education (DOE) and Core Curriculum Content Standards, N.J. Department of Vocational Education, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and applicable state/local/federal regulations, assists in the planning and implementation of classroom instruction within an assigned area of functional, developmental, vocational, and/or transitional curriculum in elementary or secondary education in accordance with the Individual Education Plan (IEP)

Education & Experience:
60 college credits and six months related work experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or currently enrolled in a related college program are required. Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

  • Have a current, non-provisional driver’s license in good standing
  • Work well in teams and are open to learning new skills

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
