Transportation Coordinator

Description: 

  • 12 Month Position
  • Reports to School Business Adminstrator
Job Summary: 
To oversee, manage and ensure the safe and efficient operation of school transportation in public, nonpublic special education students and extracurricular sports and field trips.

Qualifications: 
  1. Valid Commercial Driver's License B Class with Passenger and School Bus (PS) endorsements 
  2. Excellent driving record 
  3. Completion of NJ Transportation Supervisor’s Certification Program 
  4. Experience in school district transportation as determined by the Board of Education 
  5. Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing school bus transportation and proficient in computer skills in route scheduling with transportation software such as Versatrans
  6. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  7. 7. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
