Special Education Teacher
Qualifications:
- New Jersey Elementary School Teacher K-6 or K-8 with Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification
- Experience working with students with disabilities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with grade-level colleagues to provide individualized, yet rigorous instruction
- Ability to interpret and implement students' Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and good moral character
- Must be willing to work in a resource or self-contained setting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with staff, students, parents, and community
- Must have strong collaborative, planning, and performance assessment skills; be knowledgeable in a variety of teaching strategies and a demonstrated ability to work harmoniously in a multicultural, diverse community.
