Behavior Specialist - Anticipated

The Shore Center, a public specialized school for students with autism has an anticipated opening for a Behavior Specialist for the 2023-2024 school year.

 QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Hold valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate
2. Hold valid Registered Behavior Technician certification 
3. Teacher of Students with Disabilities or Teacher of the Handicapped Certification preferred; other certifications considered
4. Experience as a RBT and/or behavior support staff in public school district
5. Experience in ABA programming, assessment, and interventions
6. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
7. Demonstrates effective problem-solving, communications, organization, planning, record-keeping, and human relations skills 
8. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
