Required:
Experience in providing individual and group psychotherapy for children and young adults ranging from ages 6-21. Experience with crisis intervention counseling, treatment planning, assessment of students' mental health needs, referrals for mental health services outside of school, and advocacy skills to assist students and their families with accessing resources in the community. Knowledge of Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and experience in this area is preferred. Maintain student clinical files in accordance with legal requirements, internal policies and quality standards by recording attendance and chronological enteries of treatment sessions and updating relevant clinical information. Prepare IEP goals/objectives and students levels of social, emotional and academic performance. present cases in monthly supervision with a consultant and use supervision for ongoing development of clinical skills and techniques. Support educational staff through clinical intervention and sharing of knowledge.
Position requires working during the 6 week Extended School Year (ESY) Program in the summer.
