English Language Arts Teacher

Teacher of English Language Arts – Grades 6-8

Requirements:

1. Valid NJ Instructional Certificate (Teacher of English or Subject Matter Specialization – English Language Arts Grades 5-8)
2. Knowledge/Experience working with anthology and novel-based instruction;
3. Proficient at modeling/teaching/assessing written expression;
4. Knowledge of the scope and sequence of NJ Student Learning Standards for ELA;
5. Knowledge of state assessment test specifications for language arts (ie: NJSLA)
6. Ability to integrate technology effectively to enhance instruction
7. Knowledge of Charlotte Danielson’s Framework for Teaching – a plus
8. Knowledge of best practices in middle level education
9. Willingness to collaborate with fellow department members
10. Bilingual (a plus)
