North Plainfield High School

We are looking for a dynamic educator to lead a unique program at North Plainfield High School. The Child Development program supports secondary students who are interested in careers in education. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience with the growth and development of both young learners and high school students, along with best practices for instructing young learners. Students in this program may also be eligible for concurrent enrollment credit at a local university, and as a part of this program will complete field work in schools around our district, under the supervision of the candidate.

Candidates holding one or more of the following certificates will be considered:
  • Standard Elementary School Teacher Grades K-6 (#1001)
  • Standard Preschool through Grade 3 Certificate (#1013)
  • Human Development and Childcare Services (#4141)
  • Family and Consumer Sciences (#1705)
  • Family and Consumer Sciences: Child and Family Development (#1706)

Any candidate holding a Standard K-6 or PreK-3 certificate must also apply for the Human Development and Childcare Services (4141) certificate to be considered for this position. The Department of Education has waived all certification and credentialing fees for the period beginning July 1, 2023, and ending June 30, 2024.
