We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Nurse to join our vibrant school community! As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in ensuring the health and safety of our students and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Provide students with first aid and basic healthcare services in case of injuries or illnesses.
- Implement Individualized Health Care Plans (IHCPs) for students with chronic health conditions.
- Conduct routine health screenings (vision, hearing, etc.) and manage immunization records.
- Educate students and staff on healthy habits, hygiene practices, and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to address student health needs and concerns.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in the health office.
- Manage confidential student medical information according to HIPAA regulations.
- Stay up-to-date on current health trends and best practices in school nursing.
Qualifications:
- Valid state nurse license.
- Experience in school nursing or a related pediatric healthcare setting (preferred).
- Strong assessment and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and staff.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
