Elementary School Principal

2026-2027 School Year

The Rockaway Borough School District is seeking an inspirational and dynamic leader to be the next Principal at Lincoln Elementary School, effective July 1, 2026. The Principal is the instructional leader involved with the planning and implementation of curriculum and instruction to its students and staff in grades Pre-K through three. Additionally, the Principal assumes the responsibility for the overall operation and security of the school.

Qualifications:

• Valid NJ Principal certification
• Elementary teaching experience preferred
• Administrative experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership in curriculum, instruction, technology, and team building
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to engage in positive relationships with staff, parents, students, and community
• Skilled in developing and maintaining a school budget
• Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations affecting education
• Ability to analyze and use multiple forms of assessment data to improve student achievement
• Creative ability to define problems, collect data, draw valid conclusions, and implement effective strategies
• NJDOE required criminal history background check

 Salary Range as per RBAA Agreement: $120,000 - $140,000
