Anticipated School Social Worker

2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
Franklin Middle School

Intensive Therapuetic Support Program

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide daily service to students in accordance with Board approved curriculum, policies and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification required: New Jersey School Social Work Certification, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Preferred
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
• Successful Criminal History Clearance
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization
• Spanish speaking a plus but not required
• Must be proficient in the use of instructional technology

• NOTE: Certificated Guidance Counselor with appropriate background will considered

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

10 - Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable and collective negotiations agreement.

COMPENSATION

In accordance with the provisions of the BOE/FTEA collective bargaining agreement, the salary range for this position in the 26/27 School Year is Step 1 BA/BS + 45/ MA ($70,523) - Step 18 PhD/EdD ($99,380). Compensation will be commensurate with experience and education.

ANNUAL EVALUATION: Performance is reviewed annually in accordance with NJ State law

and the provisions of the Board of Education policy on evaluations for certificated staff.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited Google Suite, IEP software program and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System.
