TITLE OF ANTICIPATED POSTITION:
District Counselor 2024-2025 School Year

Counselor Responsibilities:
To provide individual and group counseling Pre-K-5
To develop and implement programs/lessons which address social skills development including social emotional learning and character education
To work with administration and teachers in dealing with crisis situations
To counsel students having academic/personal problems on an as needed basis
To serve as the Chair of the 504 Committee and assist with the development, implementation and review of all 504 plans
To serve as the Antibullying Specialist (ABA) at the Elementary Schools and conduct HIB investigations
To serve as a member of the I&RS committee; collaborate with staff members and families to develop and monitor student intervention plans
To attend all meetings as required
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
1. New Jersey Standard Certification as a School Counselor required.
2. Required criminal history background check.
SALARY:
Based on degree and experience as per the LHEA salary guide
