MATHEMATICS SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER

The South Amboy School District has the following opening for the 2024-2025 school year.  Rate of pay will be as per negotiated agreement between the South Amboy Board of Education & the South Amboy Education Association:

Middle and High School

Mathematics

Special Education Teacher

**Proper Certification Required**

Qualifications:

• Teacher of the Handicapped certification, or Teacher of Mathematics with Teacher of Students with Disabilities (ToSD) certification
• Demonstrates effective problem solving, communication, organization, planning, record keeping and human relation skills.
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, administrators and others.
• Skills in the collection of data and anecdotal notes to provide evidence of student growth and guide differentiated and targeted instruction to meet the needs of all learners, preferred
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Experience in ICR (In-class Resource), POR (Pull out Resource), SC, (Self-Contained)

The selection process will continue until a candidate is appointed.  The successful candidate will be eligible for the district’s benefits package.  Employees are eligible for single benefits and become eligible for other benefits packages after having successfully completed three years and one day within the district. Appointment is at the discretion of the South Amboy Board of Education.  If, and when, an appointment is made, appropriate staff will be notified.
