SUPERINTENDENT/PRINCIPAL – BOONTON TOWNSHIP PUBLIC SCHOOLS

The Boonton Township Board of Education in Morris County seeks an experienced, innovative instructional leader committed to fulfilling our mission of providing a solid educational foundation for all students that challenges them to fulfill their individual potential.  The district proudly serves 413 PreK-8 students in one building, Rockaway Valley School, supported by a budget of $16.6 million.  Our high school students attend Mountain Lakes High School through a send-receive relationship with the Mountain Lakes School District.

The dual role of superintendent and principal allows for a hands-on versatile leader to be a visible presence in our tight-knit school community to implement the vision and values identified in our strategic plan.  Experience with facilities will be important in the consideration of options after the recent referendum attempt.

 Qualifications:

• NJ School Administrator Certificate or Certificate of Eligibility required.
• Experience as a Principal required, with additional Central Office experience preferred.
• Experience in a similar PreK-8 district preferred.
• Classroom teacher experience preferred.
• Experience with a send-receive relationship or regional school districts preferred.
