Director of Special Services 12 Month Position
The Watchung Hills Regional High School District is accepting applications for the position of Director of Special Services. Watchung Hills Regional High School is located in Somerset County and serves approximately 1,700 students. In addition to the special services program, the Director of Special Services also supervises the health office that is comprised of three full-time school nurses. The Director's primary responsibilities include program development and evaluation, monitoring of compliance with NJ and Federal Laws, supervision of special services faculty and staff, and working collaboratively with the administrative team. Qualifications: Appropriate NJ Certification as a Principal or School Administrator A minimum of five years of experience as a child study team member or teacher of students with disabilities Previous experience as a Supervisor or Director of Special Education, preferred. Previous experience working in secondary special education, preferred.
