• Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate: Student Assistance Counselor endorsement or eligibility required
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance abuse curriculum development, counseling, staff development and effective counseling services
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with students, parents, staff, and community groups and organizations
• Broad knowledge of theories of individual and group guidance techniques, secondary school guidance program design
• Minimum experience as determined by the board
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
