The Dover Public Schools Department of Information Technology is accepting applications for the position of Information Technology Service and Support Manager. The successful candidate will assist in the responsibilities to maintain and direct the implementation and maintenance of all district technology and to design, implement, and maintain complex systems and device workflow.

  1. To assist with facilitating district technology initiatives, inventories, and planning. 

  2. To design logical and physical workflows to meet our district needs. 

  3. To continue district current and future technology projects and initiatives. 

  4. Maintain communications with others (principals, webmaster, Instructional Technologist, & Director of Curriculum, etc.) to determine impact of applications and device changes on other systems, cost implications, etc. 

  5. Participate in the coordination of the evaluation of software and hardware to determine usefulness and compatibility with existing software and hardware. 

  6. Evaluation of new or modified software, integrity of databases, proposed data processing projects as it relates to the MDM. 

  7. The design, implementation, software coding, maintenance, management, and review of the information systems databases. 

  8. Keep abreast of available technologies, programming languages, coding methods, design techniques, and hardware/software efficiencies. 

  9. Monitor data integrity of master files; coordinate corrections to ensure accurate reporting, back-up, and processing. 

  10. Assist with the identification, coordination, and implementation of software upgrades, system modifications, and system performance testing activities. 

  11. Provide resource information, assistance, and technical support on projects requiring interfacing of systems or software. 

  12. Assist in the design and coordination of training programs for users; assist with the design and implementation of new methods of performing tasks through the use of technology. 

  13. Supervise and evaluate Support and Network technicians. 

  14. Management of MS Active Directory, group policies, security groups, and network logon scripting.

  15. All other tasks and duties as assigned by the Chief Technology Officer.


  1. Graduate of a technical training school; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  2. A combination of work experience and education may be substituted foreducational requirement.

  3. Demonstrates leadership qualities.

  4. Has excellent knowledge of Apple devices and understands network system design.

  5. Has the ability to work on systems analysis and programming activities.

  6. Demonstrates a high level of commitment, communication skills, and problem solving.

  7. Has strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  8. Must show a great deal of initiative, exercise good judgment, and demonstrate positive customer service attributes.

  9. A minimum of eight years experience with Apple device management and repair for a K-12 School district. 
    Compliance with all statutory regulations and district requirements for securing public school employment is required.
