Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultants (LDT-C) work in collaboration with other members of a child study team to determine eligibility for special services. LDT-Cs conduct educational evaluations for each initial evaluation and updates for each re-evaluation, which are conducted every 3 years. LDT-C Child Study Team members provide case management for classified students on their caseload, including attending or leading IEP meetings, annual review meetings, initial identification meetings, and manifestation determination meetings. LDT-Cs provide consultative services to the regular and special education teachers and parents to develop research-based strategies and techniques to enhance the students' academic performance.
