Description

The Assistant Principal will be responsible for providing educational leadership and administrative support for the successful operation of our school. This position works closely with the Principal and other administrators to ensure that students are achieving the educational objectives set by the school district. The Assistant Principal also supervises and provides guidance to teachers, staff, and students, as well as develops and implements school policies, procedures, and programs.

Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop and implement school policies and procedures
  • Assist the Principal in the day-to-day management of the school
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate school personnel
  • Oversee the curriculum and academic programs
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure that students are achieving educational targets
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure a safe learning environment
  • Facilitate professional development activities
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and the community
  • Attend school board meetings and other district events
  • Assist with budget planning and management
  • Handle student discipline issues
  • Oversee extracurricular activities
  • Manage the school's data system
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications Include:

  • Must have a Master's degree in Education Administration or a related field
  • At least three years of teaching or administrative experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of school district and state policies and procedures
  • Able to develop and implement school policies and programs
  • Able to motivate and mentor staff and students
  • Understanding of current educational trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of data systems, budget planning, and school operations
  • Able to handle student discipline issues in a fair and effective manner
  • Able to develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and the community
