Superintendent of Schools

The RIVER DELL REGIONAL SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a Superintendent of Schools. The district is
located in a Bergen County suburb of New York City approximately 15 miles northwest of Midtown
Manhattan serving approximately 1600 students in grades 7-12 at the River Dell Middle and High
School. The district provides a quality educational experience to a student population from the
communities of Oradell and River Edge, New Jersey and enjoys a tradition of high performance and
support for its schools.

The Board of Education is seeking someone who:

• Possesses the skills of an accomplished instructional leader with timely and sophisticated
  understanding of teaching and learning utilizing strategic planning, bonafide best practices, data
  analysis and a systems approach to increase performance of all students;

• Is an experienced and respectful educational leader with a proven record of supporting the
  principles of continuous improvement and is committed to bringing a high-performing school district to its next level of excellence, while mindful of the need to create career pathways for graduates other than college;

• Is an excellent and proactive communicator who uses multiple modalities to listen, learn, and
  inform while keeping staff, parents, students, and community continuously updated and engaged;

• Is a school leader who appreciates the challenges of being a receiving district and is committed
  to working with the educational leaders of both sending districts to create a well aligned K-12
  Line of Sight for students of all abilities;

be eligible for a New Jersey Department of Education School Administrator certification. The final
