Description TITLE OF OPEN POSITION:                                            High School Physical Education/ Health Teacher           
                                                                                                (Maternity Leave)
                       
 
DATE POSITION WILL BE VACANT:                                August 21, 2024 - January 6, 2025

SALARY:                                                                              As per agreement between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the Phillipsburg Education Association
 
                       
JOB DESCRIPTION:                                                          Secondary (9-12) Physical Education/ Health Teacher
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS, MANDATORY:                                        1. NJ Health & Physical Education Certified
                                                                                                2. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in health
                                                                                                    Physical education
                                                                                                3. Student-Centered Focus
                                                                                                4. Required criminal history background check
                                                                                                  
 
QUALIFICATIONS, DESIRED:                                       The applicant should be knowledgeable about the following:
  1.  NJ Student Learning Standards for Comprehensive Health and Physical Education
  2. Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with parents and professionals
  3. Excellent interpersonal skills
  4. Understands use and programming of assistive and educational technology
  5. Differentiated instruction
