September 1, 2024 - on or about January 6, 2025

Requirements:

Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher Certification in Biology
TOSD and/or ELL certification preferred but not required
Demonstrate knowledge of Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) preferred
Knowledge and use of instructional technology
Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities include:

To teach high school science courses
Promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement
Collaborating with co-teachers on curriculum, assessment and instruction to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each student’s learning needs
Adjusting instruction, materials, and/or assessments to meet the diverse needs of students
Maintaining a classroom environment that promotes student learning
Using innovative approaches and instructional strategies, including the effective use of technologies, to increase student learning and confidence to learn
Providing meaningful assessments and feedback to students
Analyzing student assessment results to help guide instruction
Maintaining accurate records of student achievement
Communicating regularly with student and parents regarding progress
