                             July 6, 2021 - July 29, 2021
                             Hours 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
                             Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays

 
Staff Needed: Up to fifteen (15) Guidance Counselors



Qualifications:
 
  • Must be a current employee of the Paterson Public Schools
  • Currently employed as an Elementary or Middle School Counselor
  • Must hold New Jersey Educational Services Certificate with students’ personnel services endorsement and other appropriate endorsements
  • Experience with Elementary and Middle School Students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and moral character
  • Demonstrate initiative in completing all aspects of counseling position
  • Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and respectful to others
  • Must be knowledgeable of the Crisis Intervention and Substance Awareness procedures
  • Ability to work collaboratively with administrators, staff and community
  • Must be able to work in person from district building the entire length of the program (July 6 - July 29; Monday-Thursday; 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community
