Administrator of Finance (12 month position)

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Certified Public Accountant License - or- Masters of Business Administration from an accredited college or university
  • New Jersey School Business Administrator Standard Certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience as School Business Administrator - or - five (5) years' experience as Assistant School Business Administrator
  • Audit experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of school business operations and compliance requirements
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent in consultation with the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
  • Required criminal history clearance
  • Experience with New Jersey Public School Accounting strongly preferred

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent for Business/Board Secretary 

 

JOB GOAL: To assist the Assistant Superintendent for Business/Board Secretary in the design, management and execution of Finance/Facilities/Transportation/Food Service departmental objectives in accordance with legal and educational requirements. 

 

 

 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 

General: 

  • Promote a culture of professionalism, pride and integrity through clearly communicated expectations, fair and consistent measures of accountability, and mutually respectful interactions with school community.
  • Act in the capacity of Assistant Superintendent for Business/Board Secretary during his/her absence.
  • Evaluate support staff as assigned.
  • Ensure that the following responsibilities are implemented for all areas of Finance/Facilities/ Transportation/Food Service assigned:
  • Compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional performance and reporting requirements issued by various authoritative agencies
  • Maintenance of accurate district policy, regulations and standard operating procedures
  • Design and implementation of effective internal controls along with necessary training and oversight
  • Coordination with district administrators as necessary 

 

  • Starting Salary – $128,000
